Being Safe
On June 10th, 2019 we relaunched Skye Lodge after a full renovation which took 18months of planning, care, and attention. Our wonderful guests reviewed and thanked us for our hospitality and also complimented us on our modernisation accommodating the needs and expectation of our guests. Covid lockdowns, restrictions became the norm for all.
Our hygiene and cleanliness have always been extremely high and remain so as the standard . We introduced several additional procedures to ensure your stay with us is relaxed and free of concern so your only worries will be what to pack.
Easy prior to arrival
Our booking system means there is no need to fill out forms! We’ll email you and message via our booking system which will allow you to check-in with us online (provide us with time of arrival) this will also provide a wealth of useful information about your accommodation, the local community and surrounding area.
A Warm Welcome
Sited in entrance of Skye Lodge is a sanitising station with hand sanitiser. and member of team (appropriately PPE’d and social distanced), who will explain our hygiene procedures and give you your welcome pack containing hygienic room key, face mask and helpful information for your stay. If assistance is required with luggage please simply remove the bags from your car at our Front Door and our team will take them safely to your room.
Cleaning
Additional to our normal high standards of cleaning, our team are implementing a unique anti-bacterial ‘TOUCH-POINT’ surface disinfectant regime using industry leading cleaning products and procedures according to Government guidelines.
If that was not enough, our team will be using sanitising procedures and standards used by our hospitals to your room and bathroom prior to arrival. This sanitising process eradicates 99.9999% of viruses, bacteria and fungi.
A Light Touch
To keep outside contact with your room to the minimum, we will operate a ‘LIGHT TOUCH’ service, which means our team will only service your room if specifically requested. If you prefer a traditional housekeeping service, please let us know when you arrive.
Keeping your Distance
We have made social distancing really simple! Please see your arrival information.
If your idea of being sociable only involves yourselves, our room menu service for the North and South Suites just needs to be requested.
Haste Ye Back
With our contactless checkout system you’ll receive an email on departure which enables you to self-check-out on your personal device and receive your final invoice. All we’d ask is that you leave your key in your room door on departure.

The New Normal
Our team members will wear face masks or visors in accordance with government guidelines. They will also wear gloves where appropriate. When not wearing gloves, they will be employing high frequency hand washing.
· Our team will be temperature checked each day prior to starting their shift.
· Our team will be tested regularly as tests become available.
· Our team will be using the selected tracing app.
Just in Case
If in the unlikely event of you experiencing any COVID symptoms during your stay including high temperature or new continuous cough, we kindly ask you to stay in your room. You will find contact details for the local doctor and other medical services information available to you on arrival. Contactless temperature checks and oximeter checks are available, simply call our team to organise a check.
