Loch Bay restaurant is a locally-loved contemporary Scottish restaurant with french flavours, managed and delivered by Chef & patron Micheal Smith. Micheal is from Inverness and was previously chef for 11 years at The Three Chimneys until acquiring the The Loch Bay in 2016 and achieving a Michelin Star 18 months later. Stein village is beautiful with amazing panoramas over the waternish penisula.
We all know him largely due to his TV appearances on ‘The Great British Menu’ programme with his peers. Definitely book in advance. The restaurant has 16 seats. Menu price is £140. Ideal for small groups, couples.

The Stein Inn, Waternish is the Oldest Inn on The Isle of Skye and an establishment we have been as the Inn changed ownership. Family run Pub c/o Charlie and her 2 Children assisting front of house. A wonderful location indeed where all are welcome; dogs, children included.
We recommend booking in advance as simply cooked local produce is a must, so plan ahead folks.
Opening Times: Lunch served from 12pm to 2pm – Dinner served from 5pm to 9pm

Edinbane Lodge is award winning. This fabulous restaurant has provided hospitality on Isle of Skye since 1543!
Here’s the story: Henry VIII was marrying Catherine Parr that year, and Mary Stuart at only 9 months old was crowned Mary Queen of Scots in the central Scottish town of Stirling! Pretty amazing to think that Edinbane Lodge has been there for 476 years, welcoming travellers on the route to Dunvegan Castle.
Chef - Calum Montgomery; born on Skye and truly knows how to cook with produce from Skye! It reopened in August 2018 and was swiftly named best new restaurant. The Edinbane team is young, vibrant and totally committed to provide the very best for you winning accolades galore.
The Edinbane Lodge is open Wednesday through to Sunday April to October / Wednesday through to Saturday November to March.

A friendly, modern Inn with traditional live music three days a week in busy periods. Enjoy the very best local produce available at the Edinbane Inn. Their buildings were renovated and completed 2019, allowing you to enjoy the highland hospitality that we on Skye are very passionate about. Children and dogs are allowed at Edinbane Inn and please book in advance. Check the availability of traditional music sessions in low season.

The Three Chimneys is well known worldwide thanks to the hard work and dedication of owners Shirley & Eddie Spears - 34 years (April 2019) later they handed over the reigns to hotelier Gordon Campbell Gray Chief of The Wee Hotel Company.
Staff and all suppliers to the Three Chimneys have worked to guarantee a landmark restaurant will run this summer, serving the very best with a warm, friendly and very professional charm for the next generations thanks to its reputation and awards achieved by Shirley & Eddie Spears and chefs past and present.
The Three Chimneys is a must for all visiting Skye as supported by so many worldwide. Skye Lodge Dunvegan is located just 3.9 miles - 10 minutes from drive from The Three Chimneys. Whatever the reason for booking consider arranging a taxi service.

Just a 2 minute walk from our door at Skye Lodge! The Old School has provided great hospitality and food for well over 3 decades. Mackenzie Family owners of the Old School Restaurant Maryann and Hugh opened the restaurant in 1985. Now the next generation has renovated and maintains the hospitality and enhances our local community here in Dunvegan.
Skye Lodge Dunvegan was built by Flora Mackenzie the Head Teacher so for Douglas especially eating out is trip down memory lane as the pictures hanging inside the old school restaurant are of familiar faces loved by all. Love the interior and exterior as we see it daily from our kitchen and dining area.
The Old School is a favourite for locals and visitors alike. Essential for all to plan book ahead. The Old School is open 5 days a week closing at this time on Wednesday and Thursday. For us we occasionally order a fish & chip supper for collection on lazy days in the early evening. The take - out menu can be order from the premises and while you wait there is a cosy wee bar area and plenty of seating ourdoors.

A wander down the main through road of Dunvegan is rewarded by this gem waiting for you at the junction for Portree and Dunvegan Castle. Re-established or rather renovated and reopened in 2019 The Dunvegan hosts a Deli Cafe and a restaurant in addition to a fabulous environmentally-focused shop promoting the use of sustainably sourced, local ingredients.
Their restaurant: a BBQ! All is cooked over charcoal grills and wood oven using traditional Argentine cooking techniques. Cured & Smoked with their own pickles & preserves. The joy is hand baked bread, cakes & desserts.
Stop by in the day for delicious baked goods, charcuterie, raclette and traditional Scottish dishes like Cullen Skink. Enjoy a choice of evening menus and please book inadvance.
